canvas gifts

I made two canvas book page decorations for my mother and loved how they turned out.
I used old book pages, modge podge, and embellished them.
I am going to make some more soon and will post a tutorial on how to make these super cute canvases.

Sunshine and smiles

I went to Kansas City to visit my family for a week with my wonderful son, London.
We enjoyed our short visit and can't wait until they can visit us soon.
I have some {many, many, many} projects to complete this summer. Since I am a Military Wife, as many don't know it is hard to make every house you move into a home. Because I was an active duty Marine for the last four years as well
, I didn't give any home-y touches to any of our rental homes. Thats the next thing about military life, we are constantly moving and renting, we find it pointless to buy a home with us moving and moving. We have moved 5 times in the past 5 years! Since, we are pretty sure we will be in this house for another couple of years, I have decided to make this house not just a house we live in but Our home, even if it is a rental, I am going to put my personal touches on this house. I am almost done with two rooms, my half bathroom and my son's colorful dr. suess-ish room. I will upload some pictures when they are all completed.

Here is a picture of my favorite people-

My Debonair husband and handsome son.

Thanks for reading!

Through the Looking glass

This blog is just an overall look on my life. I am the wife of a wonderfully handsome, patriotic man and a mother to the most cheerful two year old in the world. I am a Marine Veteran. Most of my life is dedicated to my family. I support my husbands career as a Marine and try to be the best mother I can. I love the simplicity of life and all that life brings.
